Jack Brayboy

Jack Brayboy is Owner & Chief Creative of Brayboy Communications Inc. and a proud native of Charlotte. He has served as a host and producer of many original government, political, and community affairs programs, as well as video productions for numerous non-profits, foundations, corporations, small businesses and more.He began his 40 plus year long career in broadcasting as an assignment editor at WSOC-TV in Charlotte. While there he became weekend news producer and a general assignment reporter. In 1982, Jack was hired as sports producer at WPVI-TV ABC Philadelphia. During his time at WPVI, he had many roles: reporter, executive producer and sports anchor. His experience includes coverage of multiple major sporting events including Super Bowls, NBA and NHL Championships, MLB World Series, 1988 Winter Olympics and numerous NCAA Basketball tournaments. His time in Philadelphia was noted on a number of occasions for excellence in sports broadcasting.Jack served as the health reporter for Novant Health’s Healthy Headlines and social media platforms. His past roles include being a contributing reporter for WTVI’s Carolina Impact. His past shows include “The Commish”, a behind-the-scenes, interpersonal look inside county government through the eyes of the Mecklenburg County Commissioners. He also hosted and produced three one hour shows documenting the 2009 Charlotte Chamber of Commerce Inner City Tour.He is also the creator of The Charlotte Small Business Spotlight, a locally produced television broadcast featuring the stories of local entrepreneurs and many issues surrounding the small business community. He was also morning show host and news anchor for WCCB-TV Charlotte.Jack is a father of two, son Virgil, and daughter Jiana. He is happily married to Dr. Cheryl Butler-Brayboy Ph.D, Co-Host of QC@3 on WBTV Charlotte.
